CareAbout do care

I highly recommend CareAbout. The staff are friendly and easy to talk with. The information given to me put me onto the right provider, who could accommodate my complex needs. There is no pressure from the staff to join any providers — just lists of someone that may suit you. I offer my gratitude and thanks for the advice I was given.

Transparency

Debbie explained our questions very clearly and did not push any agenda onto us. She also said there is a list of recommended providers that we can choose from and the provider we chose contacted us immediately to set up meetings etc.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Everything you might be wondering about who we are and what we do.

How do I find home care providers near me?

Tell us your postcode and package level and we’ll match you to the right provider with availability in your areas to start services promptly, at no cost to you.

Is CareAbout a provider?

No. We’re an independent comparison and referral service. Our job is to compare My Aged Care registered providers on your behalf and match you to the right one based on your needs so you can begin services promptly.

What if I don’t have my funding sorted yet?

That’s completely fine. We help people at every stage — whether you’ve got your funding code, you’re waiting on it, or you haven’t started with My Aged Care at all. A Care Adviser will call and explain your options based on where you are.

What is a Support at Home package?

Support at Home (from 1 November 2025) is the government program that replaced Home Care Packages, with eight classification levels of funding for in-home aged care.

Can I switch my Home Care Package provider?

Yes. You can change providers at any time, and we’ll guide you through the switch and help transfer your funding.

Can I just call you instead of filling this out?

Absolutely — Freecall 13 13 00 during business hours. Whichever you prefer.

What services are covered by a Home Care Package?

The government sets strict guidelines for services included and excluded in your funding. The frequency of services depends on your classification and provider fees. We know that understanding services can be overwhelming, which is why we’re here to support you.
